Where Flavor, Family & Fun Come Together
The name “Georgie Porgie” started as a nickname given to a young George Liapis by the diner waitresses he worked alongside – an affectionate nod that would one day become the heart of a family dream. After more than 40 years in the restaurant world, George opened Georgie Porgie’s in Oak Creek, WI in 1991 alongside his wife Dina and their three children. His vision was simple and powerful: create a clean, fast-casual eatery with high quality food and friendly service.
As Georgie Porgie’s grew, so did the dream. A second location opened in Racine, WI, and George’s sons, Peter & Lou, stepped in to carry forward the legacy following George’s passing. Together, they’ve honored their father’s vision while infusing the brand with creativity, consistency, and a deep love for the communities they serve.
Carrying Forward a Legacy of Hospitality
At Georgie Porgie’s, we believe great food and great hospitality should go hand in hand. That’s why we’re committed to:
- Friendly, heartfelt service that feels more like a warm welcome than a transaction
- A family friendly atmosphere that’s fun for kids and kids at heart
- Comfort food with character—juicy burgers, crispy or grilled chicken sandwiches, gyros, fresh salads, and our famous homemade frozen custard
We’re proud to be the kind of quick service restaurant where quality isn’t compromised and hospitality still matters.
